Hearts, Hearts, & More Hearts

Hi, everyone! Happy Hump Day! Hope the week is going well.

Today, I have a Valentine that's headed to hubby to share. The current CAS-ual Fridays challenge is Hearts, Hearts, & More Hearts. So, I decided to make a heart-shaped shaker card filled with tiny glittery hearts and shiny sequins. To ensure it didn't get too girly, I stayed with a classic white-black-red -- with just a teeny, tiny bit of pink -- palette for my stoic guy.

Stampin' Up! black, stash white cardstock; Martha Stewart glitter paper; Distress Ink core paper
MFT pierced heart and rectangular stitched STAX dies
Winnie & Walter big, bold sentiment
sentiment stamped in Versamark black onyx and embossing inks, heat embossed with clear SSS powder
shaker fill sequins: Pretty Pink Posh clear, Darice black, SSS Christmas
shaker fill hearts: Paper Smooches heart die cut-outs
adhesives: Scotch ATG; SU foam strips; Zig 2-way glue pen; Zots glue dot

I love this shaker mix. I've started added die-cut minis with sequins and have been really pleased with the results. And, the little arrow is actually two separate arrows that have been cut and applies to the top and bottom of the little white heart.

I'm also sharing this over at the Cards in Envy Love You So Much! Challenge.

Parting Thought

This is the last day to play along with our Words 2 Craft By New Beginnings Challenge. The winning crafter will get $10 to spend at her/his favorite e-tailer.  :)

Until next time. thanks for stoppin' and happy scrapping!
