Sparkles Christmas: Glitter, Glitter, and More Glitter!

Hi, everyone! Happy 2017!

If you are a glitter-azi, then we have the perfect challenge to start off a new year over at Sparkles Christmas.

Our theme for this month, which was chosen by Sparles DTer Pat G, is to glitter up a holiday card. This month's prize is sponsored by Caz and is... a surprise.  :)

Truth be told, I get a little twitchy when it comes to using glitter -- probably a hold over from my Operation Write Home days. However, now that I'm making cards for Send a Smile 4 Kids, I'm looking for mess-free ways to incorporate glitter on my cards for the kids.

So, for this challenge, I pulled out a pack of DCWV glitter paper that was a gift from a friend. I used red and white glitter paper for the hats and green glitter paper for the background.  :)

DCWV Christmas glitter matstack; Recollections black; stash gray cardstock
Stampin' Up! jolly hat builder punch; SU cherry cobbler baker's twine
circles: SU cookie builder, owl builder, and cupcake punches
adhesives: Scotch ATG; Zig 2-way pen; Recollections foam squares

Hope you'll stop by Sparkles Christmas to see how the rest of our DT gals used glitter on their cards... and then stop back by to share a glittery creation of your very own.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy scrappin' and Happy New Year!
