So, today's card is an anniversary card for hubby and was inspired by both the current CAS-ual Fridays (Dies Only) Challenge and the art of Saul Bass. (Yep, that Hitchcock course is really getting to me. LOL)
| Stampin' Up! neutrals and vellum (for the overlays atop the heart contrails) Lawn Fawn plane and simple and Paper Smooches super dies |
In addition to going for a strong visual design, I wanted to achieve dimension. So the buildings are inset and the plane (and its contrails) are raised. I debated over whether to make the contrails red, but decided to stick with the gray/black/white color scheme. After all, this is for manly-man hubby. The less fuss, the better. :)
Think I'll share this over at the Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge.
Parting Thoughts

What a great card Sybrina! Love the concept of no stamping...dies only!
ReplyDeleteI love this little scene you have created sybrina, the cute aeroplane and the trail of love hearts, I was thinking you had used brown and cream until I read your post.saying it was grey black & white but it looks just as beautiful and I am sure your hubby will love it all the same. Thank you for your kind words too.
