CIE Trick or Treat?

Hi, everyone! It's time for another Cards in Envy challenge.

So, we're approaching the end of October. Hmmm.... Wonder what the challenge theme will be?   :)

Here's a pic of my little shaker card that has been sent to Nationwide Children's as part of an SAS4Kids shipment. Thanks again to Mary Anne for donating some jewelry-making beads.

Bazzill orange; Distress Ink dusty concord; old transparency
Office Essentials removal labels
orange cardstock misted with MFT shimmer spray
Japanese hex black beads; Precise black-ink pen
adhesives: x-Press It foam tape; Scotch ATG; Glue Dots; Ranger mult-medium; Zig 2-way glue pen

Elizabeth O. Dulemba is one of my favorite children's book illustrators. On her Web site, she offers coloring pages. So, I used one of her images as the template for my card, and did some fussy cutting -- and repurposed an old transparency.

Since this is a Cards in Envy challenge, I needed to make sure my card would be flat enough to send via USPS in an A2 envelope. So, I used single layers of 5/16" foam adhesive for this shaker card.

[Eye, nose, and mouth "masks" were cut out and used to mark shaker elements on the purple shaker base.]
[Masks were used as guide for placing foam adhesive.]

Hope you'll stop by CIE and join in our challenge. In the meantime, I'm linking this up to the current I-Can-See-Clearly Shopping Our Stash Challenge.  :)

Parting Thoughts

There's still about a week to play along with our fight-like-a-girl Words 2 Scrap By challenge. Our ladies have made some gorgeous cards for a challenge that is very special to our heart, but all things crafty can be linked up for this challenge.

If you're looking for a kid card challenge, SAS4Kids has a Celebration 4 Kids Card Challenge underway.

Think that's it for today. Have a great week. Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
