N is for Notecards

Hi, everyone! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

Seems like forever since I've posted anything. We're getting back from a wonderful extended trip down South -- which means catching up on lots of things around here. Add researching/signing up for health care and taking care of our pup (who's on the mend after a flare up of pancreatitis), crafting time has been a little more limited than I'd hoped. All that said, it really is good to be back up North.

The time I have spent crafting has been dedicated to prepping for an upcoming craft show... which brings us to today's post. I have some 3-card hostess/teacher gift sets to share.

Stampin' Up! Cottage Greetings Card Kit
Winnie & Walter "hugs" sentiment in Distress Ink Victorian Velvet
to/from tags: SU Christmas Collectibles stamp and punch on stash cardstock in DI walnut stain
stash tulle and SU whisper white twine
(hole punched with SU owl builder punch)

So, a while back those of us in our "There's Always the Other Side" stamping group Skyped -- that's a word, right? -- with our SU demonstrator to make this adorable card kit. When making the cards, I realized these would make cute card sets. So, I've bundled them in packs of three to sell at the show or give as a few non-card-making friends this holiday season.

Those of you familiar with the kit will notice I've changed the sentiment on one of the cards. The original sentiment was "congratulations". This is certainly a sweet sentiment, but I thought "hugs" would be more versatile.

Linking up these notecard sets to both weekly Simon Says Stamp challenges, since N stands for Notecards and these sets are perfect for friends and loved ones thinking of other friends and loved ones.   :)

Parting Thoughts

Our Changing-the-Face-of-Men's-Health is accepting cards/projects through November 28 -- in honor of Movember. There's a $10 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp up for grabs! So, we hope you'll join us.  :)

If you like mailing cards in standard envelopes, there is a fun Gratitude Challenge at Cards in Envy going on for a few more days. And, if you'd like to make a card for a hospitalized child, Send a Smile 4 Kids has a Happy Holidays 4 Kids challenge going on right now.

Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
