'Tis the Season to Say Thank You

Hi, everyone! I have a couple of thank you cards to share with you today. Rather appropriate for this time of year although neither are traditional Thanksgiving/autumnal cards.

My first card is a thank you card for the Send a Smile 4 Kids Anything Goes 4 Kids challenge that started up today. I sent a box of birthday/thank you/general sentiment cards to Nationwide Children's this week and thought I should start on a few thank you cards for my next box. Besides, I couldn't resist the chance to play with this newly arrived Simon Says stamp/die set.  :)

stash dp, given to me by a friend; Recollections black and white
Simon Says Stamp letter tile stamp (heat embossed in Distress Ink black soot) and die set
Twinery baker's twine; Stampin' Up! owl-builder-punched circles
adhesives: Scotch ATG; Zig 2-way pen; Recollections foam squares
I have to admit that I'm a tad ambivalent about this one. At times I think it work, while other times it feels to busy. It's not my usual style. But, I'm hoping the bright colors will bring some cheer to a little one.

My second card is one of the general sentiment cards I will be selling at the craft show. My goal was to make something that looked elegant but could be duplicated easily to make multiples.

Stampin' Up espresso; Core-dinations garage-sale-find blue
SU world background stamp heat embossed in American Crafts copper Zing! powder
Winnie & Walter/Hero Arts paired sentiments, embossed in DI walnut stain and AC copper, respectively
Paper Smooches stitched die
So, what do you think? Did I achieve the elegant part of  my goal. All I know is I hope I sell a few cards at this craft show.

For now, I'm linking this up to the Shopping our Stash Thanks and the Simon Says Stamp Thanks/Thanksgiving challenges.

Parting Thoughts

Words 2 Scrap By is in its last week for the Movember: Changing the Face of Men's Health challenge. And, Cards in Envy posted its Put Some Extra Layers On challenge on Monday. Both challenge blogs are offering prizes in addition to badges -- $10 to Simon Says Stamp at W2SB and a couple of children's books at CIE. So, we hope you'll stop by and play along with one or both of these intriguing challenge themes.

It was a productive day in the menopause room. In addition to making my colorful SAS4Kids card, I finally cleaned up a bit. There are still quite a few piles that need to be organized and/or purged. But, it sure looks a lot better than it did this time a few days ago.   :)

Sadly, it wasn't a very productive day for the Buckeyes. Hats off to all you MSU Spartans on a well-deserved victory. Your team's drive, spirit, and determination reminded me of the 2014-15 OSU team. Hope you have a chance to represent the Big 10 in the BCS.

Think that's it for now. Have a good rest of the weekend and a blessed Thanksgiving celebration.
