CSSC #11

Hi, everyone!

Earlier this year, Leslie at The Crooked Stamper -- y'all know Leslie, right?! -- started a monthly sketch challenge. She invited fellow crafters to submit cards that might make for good sketches. So, imagine my surprise when Leslie contacted me this week about using the card at the right as the inspiration for her newest sketch!

Well, imagine my surprise when she contacted me about using my card as the inspiration for her December sketch challengeTalk about exciting!

So, here's Leslie's new sketch. And, I have to say, The CAS gal in me loves the simplicity. And, I love its versatility -- all the ways that strip can be used.

And, here's a new card inspired by Leslie's sketch. What a wonderful excuse opportunity to use my new Reindeer Games sketch!

Canson watercolor; Distress Ink fired brick; Recollections black
Mama Elephant reindeer games in StazOn jet black and DI vintage photo
Candy Cane Stickles

I thought the strip on this sketch was perfect for these little reindeer to shine! So, I kept it plain and simple -- staying true to the simplicity of the sketch. I used my MISTI to position the reindeer, stamp in StazOn, and then stamp several times with Distress Ink vintage photo. Mist with water... and voila -- Holiday Magic!

Thanks so much, Leslie, for inviting me to play along with CSSC #11! Think I had even more fun than my little reindeer.... if that's possible.   :)

Gonna link these little guys up to the current Anything Goes Challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog.
