Programming Happy Times Ahead

Hi, everyone!  Any day that is a stamp club day is a great day. Hope your day was a good one, too.

Before I get to today's card, I need to send huge thanks and big hugs to friend-in-craft for the amazing goodie bag that arrived in today's mail. If you'd like to receive a similar -- or even bigger -- package from Lisa, please check out her sale post here. You'll be glad you did!

Here are a few pics of the Lavender package that arrived today.

Programming Happy Times Ahead

Speaking of those goodies from Lisa, the background dp on this card came straight from Lisa's goodies. This paper couldn't have come at a better time. I was struggling to find just the right paper for my bluish/purplish/grayish bots.

Doodlebug Design polar pals dp; Recollections white and black cardstock; Stampin' Up! grays
lilac and blue/purple stash (AC? Bazzill?) cardstock
MFT bionic bots images and sentiment stamped in StazOn jet black
MFT bionic bots colored with Prismacolor pencils
dies: MFT bionic bots, Lawn Fawn mini snowflakes; Stampin' Up! owl builder punch (for tiny circles)
Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder, inked with Distress Ink black soot using Ranger blending tool
Wink of Stella accents; adhesives: Scotch ATG; Recollections foam squares; Zig 2-way glue pen
I intended to make a boy card because I tend to receive fewer of those for my SAS4Kids shipments. I even chose a neutral plaid paper. But, no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't keep this from skewing feminine. Don't get me wrong, the former math teacher in me loves encouraging our girls to take science and math classes. So, in that respect, I like this card a lot. It's just not what I planned to make.  :)

I feel pretty good about coming close to the Mojo sketch. Because of the direction of the plaid, my two background strips ended up in slightly different locations... which resulted in me moving the sentiment strip to the right just a tad.

Today's card, which will be going to a little one at Nationwide Children's, was inspired by the current SAS4Kids Punches and/or Diecuts 4 KidsMojo Monday 453, and Simon Says Stamp Add Some Shimmer Challenges. (If you look close, you just might see the MFT Shimmer Spray on my little gal bots.)

Parting Thoughts

Did you notice there's also a new challenge going on at Cards in Envy?! And, the Words 2 Craft By Challenge is open until July 6 -- still lots of time to play along with us over at W2CB. Hope to see you there.  :)

Hoping to work on a love/peace/joy holiday card tomorrow. Until next time, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
