Thanks a Bunch!

Hi, everyone!

I'm here today with a thank you card that will be going to SAS4Kids. My contact at Nationwide Children's said the thank you cards are always the most popular and go fast. So, I'm thinking I need to focus on making thank yous for my hospital shipments.

But first, a moment for my own thankfulness.

Thankful Thursday

Yesterday was my birthday. While the commemoration of another birthday reminds me that my body's not as young as I used to be, it also reminds how the years have blessed me with a loving family and dear friends.

I am thankful for:

  • a wonderful lunch with my men (aka "The  Dads" and hubby),
  • e-mails, phone calls, and FB messages from family and friends, and
  • the gorgeous roses on our dining room table from hubby.

Today's Card: Thanks a Bunch!

Crate Paper Farmhouse Collection' Recollections black
Versamark ink and pen; Recollections gold embossing powder
Simon Says fall sequins: Stampin' Up! linen thread
adhesives: Scotch ATG; Recollections foam squares: Ranger multi medium matte

The current Mojo Monday Sketch was the initial inspiration for today's card. So, I decided to play around with some of those pretty papers in the Crate Paper pad I found at Tuesday Morning last week.

You'll notice that there are a few gold embossed elements on the card. These were inspired by techniques shared in the Heat Wave Online Card Class, trying out my new embossing buddy and adding embossed details with my Versamark pen and Glossy Accents. So, I think I'll link this up to the Day 2 Class Gallery.

In addition, I'm going to share this over at the Simon Says Flora and Fauna Challenge. Didn't know if I'd have a chance to play along with the SSS Challenges this week, but it looks like this Crate Paper collection fits the bill for the Wednesday Challenge.  :)

Parting Thoughts

Looking forward to checking summer reading logs at the local library later today and going to a community theater performance with a good friend tomorrow. Maybe I can squeeze in a little housecleaning this weekend. LOL

There's a new Just Keep Swimming Challenge over at Words 2 Craft By. Hope you'll stop by and check it out.

Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
