Paradise wouldn't be paradise without card-making cronies.... right?! And, there's a wonderful Stampin' Up! demonstrator on the island who opens her home weekly to all who need a card-making fix. And, by all... I mean all. Colette welcomes locals, snowbirds, part-timers, and tourists. In addition, she fixes me up with whatever I need to continue playing with paper when I get back to the villa.
So, these little bees are going to buzz over to her house right before we leave.... just beecause. :)
Okay, so let's start with what I love. I LOVE my little bees. They have just a touch of coloring, and vellum wings.... which were done by stamping the bees on both cardstock and vellum, cutting off the cardstock wings, and attaching the cardstock bee bodies atop the vellum bees. I also love the blue background. I had inked up this watercolor paper a long time ago... and then set it aside. I came across it when making this card and thought it would make for a nice "sky" for these little guys. I added black soot spattering to soften the black elements of the card.
If I could redo something, it would be the hearts under the sentiment. I made a decision to go asymmetric.... but I now regret that decision. LOL
If memory serves, there's a Things with Wings Challenge going on over at Simon Says. I'm also going to share this at the Simon Says Anything Goes and National Craft Month Challenges.
