Thankful Thursday

Hi, everyone.

Boy, what a week. Last Tuesday, the country celebrated a total eclipse. A week later, a hurricane wreaks havoc on the fourth largest city in America. Thoughts and prayers to all affected by this terrible storm.

Also, this week, my Aunt Gloria was laid to rest. Tonight, I'm thankful that family members were able to come together to cry... to laugh... to remember.

So, crafting time has been rather limited this week. What little time I've had has spent making sympathy cards. I'd like to get handmade cards out to several family members, including my uncle, by the week's end. Because of the current kraft and white color challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays, I'm trying to limit my palette to those two colors for all three cards.

Here's my first sympathy card.

Stampin' Up! crumb cake; stash white cardstock
Paper Smooches graceful beauties image and sentiment
image heat embossed with Versamark and SU white embossing powder
sentiment stamped in SU tip top taupe and Distress Ink walnut stain
Hero Arts unicorn white spatters, applied with toothbrush and Ranger Distress Sprayer
SU decorative mask, inked in SU tip top taupe (applied with Ranger blending tool)
Spellbinders Nestabilities dies; Really Reasonable Ribbon jute ribbon

Hoping to post one more card tonight. In the meantime, have a nice evening.

  2. Sorry to hear about your Aunt. I'm sure everyone in your family appreciates your cards during times like these. Thanks for sharing with everyone over at Casual Fridays Challenge.
