May All Your Christmases Be... Pink

Hi, everyone! Hope it's been a great weekend.

Tonight's card was inspired by three challenges: 1) the Jingle Belles Pink Christmas... For the Cure, 2) the Merry Making Online Card Class Day 1 Lesson, and 3) the current CAS-ual Friday Sketch Challenge.

Strathmore watercolor; Stampin' Up! sweet sugarplum cardstock
Simon Says cute snowflakes, heat embossed with Hampton Arts light pink glittery powder
SU good greetings sentiment, heat embossed with Hampton Arts light pink glittery powder
Distress Inks: spun sugar, picked raspberry; Oxides: worn lipstick, seedless preservesinks applied with Ranger blending tool
adhesives: Scotch ATG; foam backing
Although it may not look like it in the pic, the snowflakes are embossed in a light pink (glittery) powder. I added some seedless preserve coloring to pop the pink elements, including the snowflakes. For the background, I used a little of Kristina's bokeh effect... along with a stamping technique shared by Jennifer a few weeks ago... along with a little experimentation of my own. While I don't typically use pink on holiday cards, this really turned out well.

Parting Thoughts

An autumn-based challenge started at Words 2 Craft By on Wednesday, and there are still several weeks to play along. Hope to see you in the W2CB Gallery.  :)

Have a great week! Until next time, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
