believe

Hi everyone! Hope all is good. Don't know what you're weather's like, but it sure has been unusually warm around here. But, never fear... Our meteorologists assure us a big change is on the way.

I have two holiday cards. Both are perfect for those who believe in the magic of the holidays. The first for a child, the second for an adult.

  • The first I will be sharing over at the Cards in Envy It's Only Paper Challenge
    • Truth in advertising: This card is a CASE of a card featuring Kim's adorably cute Santa dies over at Paper Smooches.)
    • These cards will be going to Nationwide Children's. I'm putting together a box of SAS4Kids cards now to send to the hospital. So, if you have a few kid cards that you'd like to send to the kids there, please visit the SAS4Kids site. I'd appreciate it.... and the kids would LOVE it.
  • The second I will be sharing at the Shopping Our Stash Snow Much Fun Challenge
    • I wish this pic captured this card's beauty. The watercolored ink turned out really well, and the Wink of Stella effect on the embossed snowflake is really pretty.
    • It actually took about four or five attempts to get the look I wanted. But, now that I have, it should make for some quick Christmas cards.
Recollections white and black, Distress Ink antique linen, Stampin' Up! cherry cobbler cardstock
DCWV glitter Christmas matstack (hat trim, hat greenery, mustache)
Paper Smooches santa card and Simon Says Stamp A2 curve dies
Martha Stewart branch punch
cheeks and nose inking in DI fired brick, applied with Ranger blending tool
adhesives: Scotch ATG; Zig 2-way pen; Xyron

Strathmore watercolor; Stampin' Up! black cardstock
SU winter wonderland embossing folder
SU good greetings sentiment in MFT hybrid black licorice; stash crystal gem
inking: broken china, peacock feathers, and seedless preserves Oxides
adhesive: Scotch ARG

Parting Thoughts

There's still a week to play along with us at Words 2 Craft By. Penny's hosting... and offering up a nice prize to our winner.

That's it for now. Until next time, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
