you rock my world

Hi, everyone! Hope your week is off to a good start.

I'm here to share a card for a tween/teen at a local children's hospital that was inspired by the current CAS-ual Fridays sketch.

Since this is going to a tween/teen, I went with a yellowish gold/purple/black Oxide color scheme. Then, I went with a star and "you rock my world sentiment".

Sorry about the quality of the pic. It was a little overcast here today, and I just couldn't quite capture the colors and embossing.

Strathmore watercolor paper; Stampin' Up! black cardstock
coloring with fossilized amber and seedless preserves Oxides, spattered with Distress Ink black soot
SU star dies; Simon Says Stamp you matter die and sentiment; SU tiny banner punch
sentiment heat embossed with Versamark and SU copper powder
adhesives: Scotch ATG and Zig 2-way glue pen

Since I'm up against the clock on this one, I'll make this short and sweet. Just a quick reminder that there's a little over a week left to play along with us at Words 2 Craft By.

Until next time, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!

  3. Very pretty colors and the interpretation of the sketch is great. I really like the added "movement" created by the large "You" and the rest of the sentiment tucked under it. TFS!
