Rainbows and Snowflakes

Hi, there. Thoughts and prayers to all those affected by those terrible storms.

I'm here tonight to share two cards.

My first card features rainbow-colored heart balloons. It was inspired by the current Cards in Envy Give It Some Heart and the CAS-ual Fridays  Beautiful Rainbow Challenges.

MFT designer paper; stash white cardstock
MFT pierced heart STAX and stitched rectangular STAX dies
Paper Smooches group hugs sentiment
sentiment stamped in MFT black licorice and Versamark ink, heat embossed with clear SSS powder
Cuttlebug Swiss dot embossing powder; SU white baker's twine

My second card was inspired by the current Jingle Belles Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas Challenge, featuring inchies and/or twinchies.

It was also inspired by the current Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch. I took a few liberties with the sketch, but hope that's okay. I originally toyed with adding a sentiment banner, but ended up preferring a thin strip instead.

Just wish this one would've photographed a little better. The foil square behind the inchie is a pretty rose that is perfect with the striped paper.

Authentique glistening dp; Martha Stewart Valentine foil paper; SU black cardstock
Lawn Fawn mini snowflakes and Paper Smooches wave/scallop dies
SU stitched rectangular dies; tiny circle: owl builder punch

Parting Thoughts

Our February/March Words 2 Craft By Challenge is open through Wednesday. Hope you'll join us.

Looks like it might be a pretty busy week. So, I'm not sure when I'll be posting again. Stay dry, stay safe. Until next time, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!

  3. Very nice card, Sabrina. The snowflake is a perfect image for the small square. LUV the embossed background and the stripped bottom. Nice contrast. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely card with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
