you are bearly loved

Hi, everyone! Hope the weekend is going well.

I'm here today to share a card inspired by the current Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge. This month, the challenge is a photo inspiration.

I've been busy making cards for kids at children's hospitals to give to moms, grandmoms, and other special ladies in their lives.

  • When I saw the tulips shown in the photo below, there was one Paper Smooches stamp set that immediately came to mind. I thought this sweet little bear would be perfect for one of these mom/grandmom/special-lady cards.
    • Doesn't she/he remind you of a child offering a single tulip of love to a mom or grandma?!
  • Since the tulips have pinkish, purplish look, I went with shades of pink for our little one's flower.

Stampin' Up! cardstock and dp; Strathmore watercolor paper
Paper Smooches courteous cuties image, sentiment, and die
image in MFT black licorice, colored with Prismacolor pencil
sentiment heat embossed with Versamark ink and SU white embossing powder
Paper Smooches heart and tiny heart dies; SU stitched oval die
background inking: Distress broken china and fossilized amber Oxides
adhesives: Scotch ATG; foam backing; Zig 2-way pen

I'm also sharing this over at the Simon Says A Trio of Something (Hearts, in this case) Challenge.

Parting Thoughts

We have a new challenge starting up at Words 2 Craft By this Wednesday.

In the meantime, have a great week. Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
