Our Top Story

Hi, everyone! Happy Weekend!

Tonight's card is an atypical anniversary card for that stoic hubby of my mind. It was inspired by the current CAS-ual Friday Challenge. I haven't had a chance to play along with the CFC gals for a while. So, I was happy to break out a few embossing powders and play along.

Stampin' Up! gray and black cardstocks, Neenah white; Momenta dp
MFT stay tuned stamp set and television dies
broken china, fossilized amber, and fired brick red Distress Inks
Lawn Fawn mini snowflake die
embossing with Versamark ink and SU white, Simon Says clear powders
page protector acetate; Paper Studio tiny brads
adhesives: Scotch ATG; Zig 2-way glue pen' Zots mini dots; SU mini dimensionals

To make the colorful TV screen really pop, I used only white, black and gray for everything else. And, there are areas of heat embossing here: 1) a white-on-white embossed background, 2) a contrasting white-on-black running sentiment, and 3) a resist embossing for the inked up TV screen.

Okay, so I may be totally crazy linking this up at CAS-ual Fridays... because I'm seeing lots of pretty flowers and colorfully inked backgrounds in the gallery. But, here goes...

Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'! Have a great weekend.  :)
