Twofer Card Challenge: #9: Leaves

Hi, everyone! Hope you're having a great weekend.

I'm popping in to share a pair of cards for the current Twofer Card Challenge. This challenge's key word is leaves.

For my cards, I used Paper Smooches leaf dies, using one of the dies as a leaf on the November Blessings card and as a flower petal on the Happy Fall card.
  • The former card will be going to my brother's family for Thanksgiving.
  • The latter is going to a Send a Smile 4 Kids shipper.  Since this is going to a young patient at a local Children's Hospital, I went with a simpler design and used only kid-safe embellishments. No sequins on this one.

Both Cards: Paper Smooches oblong-shaped leaf die
Left Card: Pebbles dp; SU cardstock ,vellum; Distress core paper; CTMH sentiment; PS dies; Pretty Posh sequins
Right Card: Recollections dp; SU dp; PS leaf die, mages; Distress Inks; SU ribbon; Wink of Stella: Laww Fawn sentiment

After placing the leaves and vellum strip, I felt like the card needed a little sparkle. So, I added a few sparkling crystal sequins. With this smattering of Pretty Pink Posh sequins, think I'll share the left card over at the current CAS-ual Fridays Challenge.

Think that's it for today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Until next time, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin!

  1. Such pretty fall cards, Sybrina! That pp on your Thanksgiving card is a great background for any fall occasion! I love all the beautiful warm colors and the free-form arrangement of the leaves! I think you should win that sequin challenge; they really schparkled things up and I love the wide and bold sediment on vellum! Your card for a hospitalized child is delightful and will surely lift someone's spirits! Very clever to use the leaf as a petal for your smiling flower!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #9! Hugs, Darnell
