Riddle Cards Re-Imagined!

Hi, everyone!

Have you checked out those new interactive window stax from My Favorite Things? Well, when my friend Mary Anne showed me her most recent MFT purchases, it was love at first sight when I saw her new STAX windows.

So, what do you think the very first thing popped into my brain when I saw these little windows? Gorgeous DT window-card ideas and techniques? Nope, not my brain. My brain went, "What a great way to make riddle cards for Send a Smile 4 Kids!"

Here are riddle card attempts #1 and #3 -- inspired by current Mojo Monday and SAS4Kids challenges, respectively. (Didn't even finish attempt #2.)

Doodlebug north pole; Recollections glitter and black; Cardstock Warehouse white
Stampin' Up! cherry cordial and gray cardstocks; Core'dinations silver vellum
vellum heat embossed with Versamark ink and SU white powder
My Favorite Things interactive window stax
EK, Fiskars, and Recollections snowflake punches
computer-generated sentiments
adhesives: Scotch ATG; Glossy Accents; Zig 2-way glue pen

Doodlebug north pole; Recollections and Bazzill black; Cardstock Warehouse white; Distress Ink barn door red
My Favorite Things interactive window stax; SU large scallop die
EK border punch (for snowflakes); SU bow builder punch
computer-generated sentiments; Stickles (for snowflakes)
adhesives: Scotch ATG; Zig 2-way glue pen; Recollections foam squares; Glue Dots
(OOPS... Looks like I've gotta glue down the top left corner of my window base!)

For the first card, I really like the look of the background circular vellum piece, as well as the vellum strip over the gray cardstock. And, I like the green/black/red framing of the window element. Just not sure I like the big glittery snowflake over the top left corner of the window element.

As for the second card, I love the look of the patterns, the bow, and the scallops. And, I like the way the window is featured in the top portion of the card. Just need to find some paper with a little more of a Santa tie in for this little riddle.

Going to link this little card up for the current Anything Goes Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

Parting Thoughts

There's one more day -- just ONE -- to play along with our August Words 2 Scrap By book-related/back-to-school challenge. And, there's a little more than a week left to link up a card for the current Cute and Cuddly Cards in Envy challenge. Both teams would love for you to join us.  :)

Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'! Hope you have a great weekend!
