The card below was made for the current SAS4Kids Birthday Fun Challenge and will be included in the next box of cards I send to Nationwide Children's. If you are an SAS4Kids card maker and have some extra Valentines 4 Kids, I'd be more than happy to include them in my next shipment to the hospital. Big thanks to Lee Mae and Diane for their Valentines. :)
Okay, I'm really new to this coloring thing. At least for now, I'm coloring with Prismacolor pencils -- waiting to see how it goes before I decide to invest in any of the pricier markers.
This is the third image that I've colored. And, I think the look I'm achieving seems perfect for kid cards.
I love the starburst. It is hand drawn and fussy cut, then misted with a shimmery spray. In addition, the blue stars were punched out from a misted piece of Distress Ink blue paper.
In addition to the SAS4Kids challenge, I'm linking these tiny heroes up to the following challenges:
- Shopping Our Stash's Inspired by a Book. In this case, my card was inspired by those graphic novels featuring female super heroes like Wonder Woman and Batgirl.
- Simon Says Stamp's Anything Goes and Work it Wednesday Challenges.
Parting Thoughts
There is still a week to play along with our current Words 2 Craft By challenge. The current white-on-white Cards in Envy challenge closes this weekend. We'd love for you to join us for these challenges.
Have an idea for a 16th birthday card for a nephew. Hope to explore that a little this week.
Stay warm! Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
