CIE White on White

Hi, everyone! It's a Cards in Envy Monday!

I really love the Winnie & Walter Big, Bold font sets. The big words in these sets are my favorite font of all -- the font I go to time and time again.  "Peace" looks so rich in this gorgeous gold embossing. And, I feel the white on white look really adds to this card's peaceful feel.

Canson watercolor
Winnie & Walter sentiment, heat embossed in Inkadinkado gold and Distress Ink black soot
Sizzix embossing folder; Stampin' Up! twine

I was pretty pleased with the way this card turned out. But why is it little things look so big when posted on a blog? That little bit of twine didn't look nearly as crooked until now. Oh, well..... Who knows how crooked it was by the time my card arrived at its destination?!

As usual, the CIE ladies have really rocked this challenge. Hope you'll stop by and play along with our white-on-white challenge. Cards need to be A2 standard size and small/light enough to send via USPS with one stamp.

Parting Thoughts

Received some adorable cards, including much needed valentines, for SAS4Kids from Lee Mae and Diana. Thanks so much, ladies! The little ones at Nationwide Children's are going to love your cards. :)

We've changed things up a little bit at Words 2 Scrap Craft By. One change is to award a gift certificate to a randomly selected crafter who links up a card/project. This month, to celebrate our inaugural W2CB post, we are also awarding a gift certificate to a randomly selected follower. Hope to see you over at W2CB!

Think that's it for now. If you're like us and caught in the polar vertex, stay warm. Looks like winter's here to stay for awhile.

As always, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!

  6. Lovely card Sybrina! Clean and crisp. I love that embossing folder and so clever to use both the embossed and debossed.
