Feel like it's even more important than ever to do good for those in need. Sometimes it seems like making a card is such a small thing, but maybe it won't seem like such a small thing to its recipient.
In that spirit, I have a couple of SAS4Kids pics to share.
Sending Smiles 4 Kids
Our SAS4Kids card makers are the best! And, it's such fun to receive cards from my own hometown as well as from so many different states.
This week, cards for Nationwide Children' came from employees at Nationwide Insurance in Columbus and from Melanie and Nancy of AZ. The pic below shows a few of the cards made by Melanie and Nancy. Thanks to everyone who made smiles our kids at Nationwide Children's.
The current challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids is to make cards for our boys. Here's a basketball-inspired card for a special little MVP.
In addition to the SAS4Kids For the Boys Challenge, today's card was inspired by Mojo Monday Sketch #440. For once, I think I really followed the sketch... for real!
In a previous life, hubby coached high school basketball. So, back in the day, I bought up all kinds of basketball-themed items for that scrapbook I was going to make for him. Of course, I didn't have the time to make the book back then. Naturally, now that I have time, I don't remember the games/seasons anywhere close enough to make scrap those pages now. LOL!!! Anyone else, relate?
And in spite of that, it was still hard to cut up that cool faux-basketball-leather paper. :)
Parting Thoughts
The She Began to Fly Challenge is still up and running at Words 2 Craft By -- with a chance to win SSS gift certificates. And a Just Purple Challenge started Monday at Cards in Envy.
Have a good rest of the week. Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
Awesome card, love that faux basketball leather paper !
