An SAS4Kids Holiday Card

Hi, everyone!

Well, it's the beginning of June. So, what better time for a snowman card?!

WRMK winter frost dp; Distress Ink Victorian Velvet and Pine Needles
Recollections black; Stampin' Up! gray; Recollections Seaside light blue; stash teal
Paper Smooches snowmen, bows, and tiny heart dies; Momenta and Lawn Fawn snowflake dies
Recollections and EK snowflake punches; Cuttlebug embossing folder
Creative Memories oval cutting system; stash (aka old transparency) acetate
stash sequins; Wink of Stella; Inkadinakdo powder for shaker fill
adhesives: Scotch ATG; Zig 2-way pen; Ranger multi medium matte; Elmer's foam tape
original computer-generated sentiment

I kinda feel like this is one of those kitchen sink cards. You know the kind where everything eventually gets thrown in the mix?! But, once I got started on a snowman/snowflake kiddie card, it seemed like the busier the better.  :)

Lots of decision went into this one. A few key decisions were: 1) adding black to the snowmen -- and only the snowmen -- to give them a stronger presence and 2) limiting the teal color on the acetate to just the snowmen and the large snowflake.

The card above actually was inspired by the following challenges:

In addition, I'm going to link this up to the following Christmas challenges:

Parting Thoughts

A new Cards in Envy Challenge started yesterday and a new Words 2 Craft By challenge starts tomorrow. Hope to see you over at CIE and W2CB.
