Thankful Thursday

Hi, everyone!

No card to share today. I've been working on something today, but it won't be posted for a while yet.

Instead, I'm here to share a little gratitude. A week or so ago, I designated Thursdays as "Thankful Thursdays". So, in spite of being card-less, I would like to share three things for which I am thankful.

  • This past weekend, I enjoyed a wonderful visit with a dear, dear friend. It was weekend full of talking, and eating, and more talking, and more eating. Throw in a movie and a trip to Hobby Lobby... well, what more could two gals want. Thanks, Linda, for a great time and for being such a fabulous friend.
  • While visiting with Linda, I had time to spend time in a few small towns. This suburban gal loved seeing three young siblings walk into a coffee shop to get carry-out breakfast items for their family, the mail carrier delivering mail to the old-fashioned mailbox while walking her Saturday morning route, and the young lady struggling with a looooong hose while watering the town's hanging baskets.
  • Today was a perfect retirement CREATE day: playing with Distress Inks while crafting, finishing a great read, exercising body and mind by taking a neighborhood walk and solving a couple of daily puzzles, assisting kids at a local hospital with the shipment of a box of handmade cards, traveling to a local restaurant for lunch with hubby, and embracing a good friendship over breakfast. Oh, and I went to the pool for an hour or so with hubby. A perfect day indeed!

Crafting Notes

Hope to be back in a day or two with a card for my dad.

And, a new challenge posted yesterday at Words 2 Craft By. If you're working on a wedding/anniversary, retirement, graduation, or maybe even dad project, we might just have the challenge for you. There's a $10 SSS gift certificate up for grabs. Why not stop by and join in the fun?

Until next time, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
