happy holly days

Hi, everyone! Another summer day spent crafting away in the menopause room... and Stamp Club tonight. Not sure life gets much better than this.  :)

Today's card was inspired by the Christmas in July 4 Kids Challenge over at SAS4Kids and the current Merry Sketch-mas Challenge over at Jingle Belles. I have so much admiration for crafters who come up with fabulous sketches, and Stephanie has really outdone herself on this one.  :)

For my card, I chose to flip the elements so that my little scene would take eyes from left to right. And, of course, I jump at any chance to use these adorable stamp set.  :)

Doodlebug Design north pole; Neenah Soler white; Recollections black; Distress Ink fired brick core paper
images: Mama Elephant reindeer games, colored with Prismacolor pencils
sentiment: Paper Smooches holly jolly, stamped in StazOn jet black
Creative Memories circle cutting system
Paper Smooches holly dies; Marvy and Paper Shaper circle punches
tiny circle at top right of holly: Stampin' Up! owl builder punch
accents: Wink of Stella; candy cane Stickles (for noses); stash red sequin
adhesives: Scotch ATG; Paper Studio foam circles; Zots glue dots

Parting Thoughts

Looking forward to seeing the gals tonight at Stamp Club. We always have lots of laughs -- and even manage to make a few cards along the way.

A quick reminder that there is a Heat Wave Challenge going on over at Cards in Envy and a Just Keep Swimming Challenge at Words 2 Craft By. Hmmm... Sounds like the same card might work for both.

Hope to see you in a day or so with that Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs card. Seems like I get distracted toooo easily. Until then, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
