Hope it's been a good week for you. It's actually been a busy -- busy, in a good way -- week around here.
Let's see we've had someone out to deal with a hornet's nest twice... with visit number three coming tomorrow. And, we've had a workman to install new basement windows. So, crafting time has been spotty at best. Think I finally finished a card for an upcoming Cards in Envy challenge. But, there's not been a chance to play at my regular challenge blog haunts.
Thankful Thursday
This week, I'm thankful for laughter... and those people and things in my life that always make me laugh:
- hubby, one of the funniest humans on the planet;
- my brother, who has the ability to turn me back into a kid with just a phone call;
- our pup, who was labeled as a "goof ball" on his 2005 shelter adoption bio; and
- Seinfeld re-runs, Peter Sellers' Pink Panther movies, and Todd Chrisley-isms.
Send a Smile 4 Kids
And, while I'm giving thanks, I must acknowledge the wonderful crafters who make cards for Nationwide Children's. The package I mailed this morning had over 300 of these works of heart, filling a large priority mail box to the fullest.
bottom layer: various sentiments, separated by categories |
middle layer: lots of thank yous |
top layer: non-A2 cards with various sentiments A2 cards are easier to pack, but larger cards still found their way into the box. |
Parting Thoughts
Speaking of SAS4Kids, there's a Cute Fall or Halloween Cards 4 Kids Challenge going on over there right now. There's also a Kid Card Challenge going on at Cards in Envy. The Single Step W2CB Challenge ended yesterday, and we plan to have our winners posted no later than tomorrow evening.
And, who knows? Maybe tomorrow will bring a card.
Either way, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'! :)
Wow, so many cards Sybrina! I feel bad now for how few I send. I did send a package your way this Thursday.
