Thankful Thursday

Hi, everyone! Happy Thursday!

It's been a pretty busy time in the old menopause room these last few days. However, unlike my usual cutting, stamping, coloring, and assembling activities, I've been focused on boxing up hundreds of SAS4Kids cards for the children at Nationwide Children's. Yep, literally hundreds, around 350 of them!

I decided to arrange cards by types: Santas, snowmen, critters... Here's a pic of some of the cards that made their way into this year's holiday box.  :)

I can't even begin to thank all of the wonderful card makers who made this possible. I thought last year's box was pretty special, but this one was even more spectacular. Thank you, thank you, thank you! My apologies for not posting pics of cards from packages delivered this past week or so. I'll try to do a better job with that next year... because all your works of heart are deeply appreciated.  :)

And, my sincerest thanks to all who have made cards for our SAS4Kids kids this past year.

Thankful Thursday

Appropriately enough, I'm most thankful this week for our local post office and its staff:

  • for Jason, who delivers box after box of SAS4Kids cards to our home,
  • for Eddie, who told me it would be cheaper for me to use the non-flat rate boxes when shipping to Nationwide Children's, and
  • for all the men and women who accept my packages and see that these cards get to the hospital in no time flat, and
  • for the self-help kiosk, which allows me to send packages on Sundays and after-hours.

Think that's it for tonight. After mailing my package this morning, I spent an afternoon working on Christmas cards. Think I'm ready to settle in for a new Big Bang episode and a viewing of Shrek the Halls.

Until next time, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
