Hi, everyone! Happy Tuesday!
Today, I'm sharing an anniversary card for a stampin' girlfriend... which was inspired by a recent
Kristina Werner post on ink-blended backgrounds.
|
Stampin' Up! crumb cake; Recollections black
inking in spun sugar, picked raspberry, and seedless preserves with Ranger blending tool and SU decorative mask
hearts edged in and background spattered (using mini mister and toothbrush) with StazOn jet black
Unity sentiment, heat embossed with Versamark and SU copper powder
My Favorite Things pierced hearts; Paper Smooches stitched die; SU linen thread
adhesives: Scotch ATG; foam backing; Zots glue dot |
For starters, I love the background. So soft, so pretty. And, I'm pretty happy with the sentiment and hearts focal element. But, I'm a tad ambivalent about the linen thread and bow. I felt the upper left needed a little something and went with a neutral-color twine. Just not sold on that yet. LOL
I'm going on a bit of CIE-withdrawal. Last challenge was my final one as a DTer. I soooo love Sandy, the team, and the challenge blog itself, but life was getting in the way of my CIE responsibilities. So, the first place I'm going to link this up is over at the
CIE Be My Valentine Challenge.
I'm also going to share this over at the Simon Says
Young at Heart and
The Color of Love Challenges.
Parting Thoughts
There's a new challenge starting up at Words 2 Craft By tomorrow. Bobbi's hosting... and she always comes up with such clever words. Hope to see you over at W2CB. :)
Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!

ReplyDeleteHi there, former CIE girl! I just started and am glad that you're joining in the challenges. I like the bow you've added--it adds a bit of rustic/homemadeness to it that is really appealing.
