Hats Off to You!

Hi, everyone! Happy Wednesday!

Today's card was inspired by the current CAS-ual Fridays Sketch Challenge. When I first saw the sketch, I envisioned a dad card with nine hats... each centered in a die-cut circle. I just never envisioned a card that would become quite so labor intensive. (Why didn't I just stamp nine hats directly on the base? LOL)

That said, I LOVE the results. Tim's Oxides really are amazing! They really are mistake proof. You just have to keep drying and re-applying. (Okay, that does take a little patience.... but the results are soooo worth it!)

Think this one's going to my dad for Father's Day. He dabbles in painting and would really appreciate the inking process.   :)

Strathmore watercolor paper
Stampin' Up! guy greetings images and sentiment in CTMH black pigment ink
Nestabilites circle dies
Tim's Simon Says Stamp 2014 CREATE stencil; SU decorative stripe mask
Distress Inks:  black soot; Oxides: broke china, fossilized amber, iced spruce
adhesives: Scotch ATG; foam backing

Short and sweet! Just a quick reminder that our Words 2 Craft By challenge is open through June 7.

Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
