hey, bestie

Okay, I couldn't put away those MFT text bubble dies before making a card for my dear friend Linda, who is starting a new school year. She is the director of a county educational service center that assists at-risk teens. Talk about making the world a better place....

MFT free-with-order text bubble dies
original computer-generated sentiments printed on Neenah Soler white
Stampin' Up! In-Colors: lemon-lime twist, tranquil tide, berry burst
Balger gold blending filament; stash gold sequins
adhesives: Scotch ATG; foam backing; Ranger multi medium matte

For Linda, I made a grown-up version of a text-inspired card that I made for a tween/teen at Nationwide Children's. I loved the blending filament look of the tween/teen card so much that I used some of it on the card above. But, went with a more sophisticated color palette.  LOL

Those sentiments on Linda's card are original computer creations. I made text boxes the size of the three dies, seeing what sentiments fit in which boxes. I then cut them out by centering each sentiment, and cut out same-sized boxes from coordinating cardstock. Finally, I used partial die cutting to size each box as shown above.

Since the card is going to my BFF, I'm sharing it over at the current CAS-ual Fridays Friendship Challenge.

Parting Thoughts

A quick reminder that we have a new vacation-themed challenge going on over at Words 2 Craft By. Marty's hosting this month. And, we have $10 to an e-tailer of the winner's choice up for grabs. See you in the W2CB Gallery.  :)

Have a great week. Until next time, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
