All Things Autumn

Hi, everyone! Hope it's been a good weekend.

It was a banner day here. I solved the entire Sunday crossword. (Hooray for me!) And, I packed up and mailed a huge box of SAS4Kids for the patients at Nationwide Children's. (Hooray for the kids, and huge thanks to our wonderful card makers!)

Today's cards were inspired by two challenges.
SOS Autumn Color Palette

  • The first of these is the current Shopping Our Stash Autumn Color Challenge. I just adore fall colors, and couldn't resist the excuse to play with some gorgeous Bo Bunny papers.
  • The second challenge is the Typography Card Challenge over at Cards in Envy. You'll see I made three cards. However, I think only the one with the yellow ribbon is flat enough to meet CIE requirements. (And, speaking of that yellow ribbon... It is Tim Holtz crinkle ribbon that was dyed with mustard seed, scattered straw, and dried apricot Distress Inks. Don't you just love the way it turned out?!)

Stampin' Up! early espresso cardstock; Bo Bunny Farmer's Market dp
CTMH stamp, heat embossed using Versamark and Recollections gold powder
Tim Holtz crinkle ribbon, dyed with mustard seed, scattered straw,, and dried apricot Distress Inks
adhesives: Scotch ATG; foam backing; Zots glue dots

The only difference in supplies used for the middle and right cards shown in the first pic are:
  • SU copper embossing powder, SU cherry cobbler cardstock, and Really Reason Ribbon ribbon used for middle card, and
  • SU cherry cobbler ribbon used on the right card.
This Bo Bunny paper really is gorgeous, and the metallic embossed text couldn't be any prettier. To achieve a nice result, I embossed each banner at least two times. And, when needed, touched up using a Versamark pen.

Parting Thoughts

If you have a chance to play with paper in the next couple of weeks, consider playing along with us at Words 2 Craft By. The uber talented Penny Ward is hosting... and is offering a Crafter's Companion prize!

Have a great week! Until next time, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
