SAS4Kids: Anything Goes, with a Focus on Valentines

Hi, everyone! Happy 2018!

Since it's the first Saturday of a new month, we have a fun new challenge here at Send a Smile 4 Kids. Actually, Karen's changing things up a bit this year. Be sure to check out today's SAS4Kids Challenge post for details.

SAS4Kids Changes

  • For our purposes here, any kiddie card goes for any of our challenges. There will be times when our DT shines a spotlight on a specific card theme... like today's focus on Valentine's. Yep, that January 15 deadline to get Valentine cards to our shippers is right around the corner.
  • A second change is a change in shippers for Nationwide Children's. Unfortunately, I am no longer going to be shipping cards to Nationwide Children's. But, I am thrilled to announce that Anne Slattery is taking over these duties. Thank you sooooo much, Anne! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your willingness to take on another hospital, and I know you'll do an amazing job.  :)

Today's Card

I just couldn't resist the chance to color a few adorable elephants for the kids at Nationwide Children's.  :)

Martha Stewart dp: Stampin' Up! black and gray; Neenah Solar white
My Favorite Things adorable elephants images; SU good greetings sentiment
image stamped in MFT hybrid black and colored with Prismacolor pencils
sentiment heat embossed with SU white powder
dies: SU stitched circle and MFT stitched STAX heart
SU/Sizzix embossing folder

The lighting made it difficult to get a good representation of the colors, especially of that foil heart. The pic at the right is truer when it comes to the colors used.

I remembered to use the technique of embossing on pattern paper. I love this effect, but seldom remember to do it. LOL

Parting Thoughts

Hope you'll have a chance to play along with us at SAS4Kids.

Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'! I'll be back on Wednesday for the first Words 2 Craft By challenge of the new year. See you then!
