Hope your weekend is going well. Watching a couple of design shows while catching up on computer tasks... including posting a few cards.
Card 1
The first card was inspired by the Jingle Belles Orange You Glad It's Christmas Challenge, which asks for a card based on the pretty inspiration pic shown at the right.
The first thing that caught my eye were those pretty pillows... and I thought I had just enough scraps left of my favorite Graphics 45 coral and sage/seafoam green paper to make a card. The second thing was the modern take on traditional Christmas elements.... which was my inspiration to use a Paper Smooches poinsettia die.
Card 2
The second card -- well, actually set of cards -- will be tucked in the Mother's Day box of cards I'm sending to a Send a Smile 4 Kids shipper. Think I'll share these for the Cards in Envy Get Negative Challenge.
Parting Thoughts
A new challenge started up Wednesday over at Words 2 Craft By. Of course, there's $10 to an e-tailer of the winner's choice up for grabs. Hope you'll be able to play along with our spring-inspired challenge.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Until next time, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
Love your non-traditional colored Christmas card Sybrina...I would never think to do that! And I love the sweet cards you created for SAS4Kids. I need to get on my cards for that.
ReplyDeleteGood for you getting an early start on your Christmas cards, Sybrina. I rarely ever start earlier than October. All of your cards are just lovely! I really like the stamped woodgrain background with the oval cut out. They will be perfect for Mother's Day cards. Thanks for playing with us over at Cards in Envy!
ReplyDeleteI am lovin' those polka dot leaves ... fabulous inspired designs ... o very glad you joined us at Jingle Belles.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Sybrina! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteoh what a beautiful poinsettia, the sparkly petals and polka dot leaves are SO COOL... this is just a flat-out lovely card & stands alone perfectly even without reference to the inspo pic. i'm always happy to see you at JINGLE BELLES, missus! ♥
ReplyDeleteThe world can use as many flowers as it can get with this nasty never-ending winter, Sybrina, and you have done a brilliant job of bringing sunshine to everyone with these designs! I love them all!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteYou really took hold of those inspiration colors and made a beauty. That would have to be a one-in-a-million poinsettia! I love your set of flowered cards too. They will make a lovely gift.
