W2CB #52: The Promise of April....

Hi, everyone! It's the second Wednesday of the month... which means it's time for a new Words 2 Craft By Challenge!

This month our words come to us from Hal Borland:

No Winter lasts forever, no Spring skips its turn.
April is a promise that May is bound to keep, and we know it.

With the unusually cold temps we've been experiencing here in Ohio, we all are doing our best to keep hope alive in our hearts.

Close to home, the annual Blooms and Butterflies event has started, and our local library just hosted a gardening program aimed at attracting butterflies to our yards. So, I'm ushering in spring with a delicate butterfly of my very own.

Hero Arts sentiment, in MFT black licorice, heat embossed with Versamark and clear Simon Says clear powder
CTMH epoxy embellishments; Everything Else: SU products!!!

Our fab SU demonstrator Christine Oehlman hosted a coloring day to check out the SU watercolor pencils and new markers. This was only my second attempt at using watercolor pencils. I was so pleased, I ordered a set of my very own.  :)   But, as for those randomly placed embellishments. Yeah.... well those were placed to cover up a few oops ink marks. Know what I mean?

Hope you'll stop by W2CB to check out our I-Team's beautiful spring creations, and then stop back by to link up a project/card of your own. Did I mention there's $10 up for grabs to the e-tailer of her/his choice to our winning participant?!

See you in the W2CB Gallery!

  1. That butterfly is so pretty with the watercoloring! I never would have guessed your randomly placed dots were covering up boo-boo's...they look good! Hope you get some warmer weather soon! Hugs, Annie

  2. Hi Sybrina,

I absolutely love your card. I cannot believe this is only your second attempt at colouring with watercolour pencils...your 'fading out' is perfect!

I think we have all had 'oops' moments at one time or another with our projects...isn't it frustrating if we do it when we are almost finished the project. I would never have known that your ?pearls were to cover some 'oops'...I thought they balanced your design very well.

    Hugs,
    Jennifer.
