This lullaby(?)-inspired card is going to Send a Smile 4 Kids -- specifically to Nationwide Children's in Columbus.
[uncertain about song 'til want w/children's song; struggled until found paper]I found myself struggling with this challenge until I decided to go with a children's song and remembered I had this sweet package of baby girl paper.
I really like the glittery stars and the Paper Smooches quotable die. However, I wish I had made the words a little larger. And, I'm ambivalent about the ribbon. Don't get me wrong -- the ribbon is gorgeous, and I love the tone-on-tone look. I'm just not sure the ribbon is the right embellishment. But, I felt the card needed something more, and this ribbon was by far the best option I found.

Hope you will join us at Cards in Envy for this musical challenge. Remember CIE cards need to fit A2 envelopes and be flat/thin enough to be sent with a singe USPS stamp. Complete challenge guidelines can be found at CIE.
There's a pirate challenge going on at Words 2 Scrap By in honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19. You have until September 28 to play along. And, Kim at Paper Smooches is offering an adorable Ahoy, Me Hearty stamp set as this month's W2SB prize. Thanks so much, Kim!
Have a great week, mateys! Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
I LOVE your card - may totally CASE it. And really cool that you have a video message; I was sorta hoping you were going to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - LOL! ~ Marilyn

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Such a sweet card for a little one and I was finally able to watch a video. Don't know why I had problems before but it started working today. What a great idea to post a little vignette about the card. You go girl!
