Today's card features the layered acetate technique, with the back layer for the dinosaur's body and the front layer for its bones.
I really like the effect achieved layering this acetate. Gotta remember to use this technique again. :)
In addition to sharing this in the OCC Gallery, I'm linking this up to the Simon Says Anything Goes and the SAS4Kids Animal Cards Challenges -- dinosaurs are animals, right?!
Parting Thoughts
This morning, humans and their fur babies celebrated the 19th Annual Dog Walk for the local humane association. Our fur baby would have had a miserable time because he's scared of other dogs... in spite of acting tough once the coast is clear. So, hubby and I walked with a couple of neighbors in his honor.
Those of us at W2CB would like to remind you that are April/May challenge ends on Wednesday. In addition to a Guest Design gig, there are Paper Smooches gift certificates up for grabs. We'd love for you to stop by and play along with us.
Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
What a totally fun and cute card! I love the image combined with that perfect sentiment, and the technique you used looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of that technique, but looks neat! What a fun card, Sybrina!
