SAS4Kids Valentine/Love Cards

Hi, everyone! Hope the new year is off to a great start.  :)

With all the hustle and bustle that goes on crafty spaces during December, it's easy for us card makers to hang up our scissors and put down our stamp pads in January.  But, a quick look at the SAS4Kids calendar shows that our January 15 Love/Valentine card deadline is right around the corner. (Guess there really isn't any rest for the weary. 😉)

So, our challenge for the next two weeks is Valentine/Love Cards 4 Kids.

We at SAS4Kids thank our amazing sponsors for offering the following prizes: $10 to Doodle Pantry and $20 to Stampendous.

I couldn't resist using this adorable little girl from Bugaboo for my card. Too cute!

Bugaboo Girl Valentine image
Core'dinations core paper; Stampin' Up black
sentiment and girl on Neenah Soler White, girl colored with Prismacolor pencils and outlined in Memento black
balloons on SU vellum, colored with various Distress Inks
SU on film framelit die; Cuttlebug and SU/Sizzix embossing folder
adhesives: Scotch ATG; Zig 2-way glue pen

As a relatively new colorer, I'm pretty happy with the way the little girl turned out. I'm also pretty happy with the vellum look of the balloons. What's not so good... that itty bitty bit of black ink that ended up on her little hand and blue paper. OOPS!

Hoping that doesn't matter to a sweetie in need of a smile.

Looking forward to see you over at SAS4Kids... and to boxing up some cute Valentines for the kids at Nationwide Children's.   :)

  1. Love your card despite the boo boo, which I wouldn't have noticed if it hadn't been pointed out.
