One Post, Two Celebrations

Hi, everyone! Hope it's been a great weekend.

Well, the birthday celebrations have settled down enough to allow for some crafting time. I have two cards to share.

Card 1: NOEL

The photo at the right is the inspiration for the current Jingle Belles Challenge and for my first card.

As you'll see I was inspired by the beautiful white and blue palette, the tiny trees on the mantel, and that luscious  green blanket/throw.

Neenah Soler white; Stampin' Up! gray
Sizzix/Hero Arts texturized impressions embossing folder and stamp combo
stamp inked in Distress Ink broken china and CTMH crystal blue
Really Reasonable Ribbon ribbon
adhesives: Scotch ATG; Zots glue dots; foam backing
I'm also going to share this at the Shopping Our Stash CAS for Simplicity Day Challenge. This was the first I'd heard of Simplicity Day. Thanks so much, SOS gals, for this fun challenge.

Card 2: Yappy Birthday

My second card was inspired by the MFT Sketch shown at the right. The card is going to be birthday card for hubby, and its inside sentiment is going to read, "Yappy Birthday from our Pup and Me."

Turns out July and August are full of celebrations in our family. Birthdays include hubby's, dad's, mine, and our pup's. In addition, our wedding anniversary is in August. We were actually married on my dad's 50th birthday. Now that was one big party!!!

Stampin' Up! gray and black; Lawn Fawn stash dp: Distress Ink broken china core paper; Neenah Soler white
MFT you make my tail wag images, inked in Versamark black onyx and colored with Prismacolor pencils
SU stitched square dies; SU black baker's twine
adhesives: Scotch ATG; foam backing; Zots glue dots

Parting Thoughts

On Wednesday, we started a new challenge over at Words 2 Craft By. While our words have a patriotic spin, there are lots of ways to go with the challenge. Hope to see you at W2CB.

Have a great week! Until next time, thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!

  1. Two very cute and well-executed cards, as always! Your holiday card is soooo attractive! I absolutely commend your addition of the green bow-- I would not have thought to do that, but it brought a classy CAS card to a whole new level of festive! Thank you for sharing at SOS this week.
