Top Cards of 2016

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope it's been a fun holiday season.

I know there's a bit of trepidation about what 2017 may bring. One good thing about the start of this new year, however, is the end of my self-imposed online purchasing of {new} stamps and dies. LOL Seriously, what was I thinking? And, in spite of all the wonderful stamps and dies released this year, I only broke down three times:  Tim's Crazy Dogs -- which meant I also needed to get his Crazy Things -- and Kim's mirror blocks over at Paper Smooches.

So, before I start filling up all those online shopping carts with some new crafting goodies, let me take a few minutes to remember a few favorites of the past year. We used to do this at Operation Write Home... and some traditions are hard to let go of.  :)

Might as well start with three cards featuring those darn Crazy Dogs. The first is hubby's Christmas card -- probably my all-time favorite this year, the second was for a nephew's birthday, and the last is a "Yappy Birthay" Laura-Bassen inspired card for a friend.

Online Card Classes always take my card-making skills to a new level. Here are a couple of Clear and Sheer cards, along with one Wild Card card.

This little guy was totally Pinterest inspired. As cute as it is, the real reason I love this little reindeer so much is that it is one of the cards the kids made at Santa Saturday.

The next three cards were made for various challenges... and made me smile.  :)

Hubby asked me to make a thank you card for some neighbors. It's always a struggle to come up with a no-frill, hubby-stamp-of-approval card that I also like. This thank you card actually worked for both of us.

Last, but not least, was a bookmark I made for one of our Words 2 Craft By challenge. It was a gift for a friend who is a librarian... and a huge Disney fan. When I gave it to her, she thought it was so pretty that she said, "I don't have to use it, do I?" (Speaking of W2CB, our current challenge is open 'til Wednesday... and we have SSS gift certificates up for grabs!)

Wishing you a wonderfully crafty new year.  :)
